The 2024 Summer Olympic program is scheduled to feature 32 sports encompassing 306 events; among these sports is breaking, which will make its Olympic debut with millions of spectators and 15,000 athletes. It is commonly known as Paris 2024, is a forthcoming international multi-sport event from 26 July to 11 August 2024. Paris will become the second city in the world to host the modern Olympics three times, having previously hosted in 1908, 1948 and 2012. For the first time in the world history of the Games, the emblem is common to both the Olympics and Paralympics, which will be more exciting. There will be 32 sports and 339 events in total, including new additions like breakdancing, skateboarding, and sport climbing. The Paris 2024 organizers have made sustainability a priority for the Games, with a focus on reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly practices. The organizers have also emphasized the importance of leaving a lasting legacy for the city and its residents, with plans to repurpose many of the venues for community use after the Games.
Venues
The events will take place in around 40 competition venues throughout Paris and the surrounding areas. Some of the iconic venues include the Stade de France, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the athletics events. Other notable venues include the Paris La Defense Arena for basketball, the Seine river for open-water swimming, and the Champ de Mars for equestrian events. And other key Olympic and Paralympic Games sites such as the Olympic and Paralympic Village, Media press Centre, training venues, railway stations and airports, etc.

On Wednesday, 22 March, Paris 2024 opened the application portal for the volunteer programme for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Volunteers will help make the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 an unforgettable event for all those who participate in it. A total of 45,000 volunteers will have the opportunity to live unique moments and experience the Games from the inside, with the Olympic Games on 26 July to 11 August 2024 and the Paralympic Games on 28 August to 8 September 2024. There will be two volunteering programmes. Based on the information they provide and the requirements of the two volunteer programmes, applicants may be offered a role by either Paris 2024 or the City of Paris.
